A spokeswoman confirmed Tuesday the city of Springfield’s insurance carrier has tentatively agreed to settle a lawsuit filed after a 2018 fatal crash.
The lawsuit was filed by Dustin Sowards after his wife, Dana, was killed in a crash reportedly caused by a man who was fleeing from Springfield police officers.
Dustin Sowards’ attorney Bill Robb said the settlement, which still has to be approved by a judge, is for just under $430,000.
