INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Police have a man in custody and are looking for a woman after a 911 call ended up in two arrests.
Just after midnight Thursday, Indiana State Police received a 911 call about a person in a red Pontiac pointing a gun at other drivers on Interstate 465. A state trooper found a vehicle that matched the description and tried to pull it over for a missing headlight. Instead, the driver fled and led police on a chase.
A male passenger jumped out of the car and ran away on foot during the chase. Shortly after, the driver swerved into the trooper’s passenger side. The chase came to a stop not long after the crash, and a female passenger ran away while the trooper took the driver — 20-year-old Christopher Poindexter — into custody.
